I`m here in Lachstatt in an English Camp and it is very funny here. The food is okay and the staff is nice. In the first week we played cricket. It is like baseball but the bat is heavier and the ball also. In the team there are 11 players and the pitch(cricket field) is oval. In the pitch there are three wickets. They are topped by a pair of bailes. In front of them there is the batsman (batswoman) The bowler is standing in front of another wicket. Another player stands behind the three wickets. The rest of the players are standing in the pitch ready to catch the ball. They are called fielders. When all players are ready to play the bowler bowls the ball to the batsman. The batsman tries to hit the ball. When nobody catches the ball the batsman runs to the other wicket and back to his or her place where he or she hits the ball. The other team tries to throw the ball to the player who is standing behind the three wickets. That person has to put the pair of bails on the ground. When he or she does that before the batsman is back at the place where he or she hit, the batsman is out.
